Turaki Vanguard condemns destruction of Atiku’s billboards

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar
The Turaki Vanguard has expressed dissatisfaction over the damage of a billboard erected by the Atiku Campaign Organisation in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The group, in a statement obtained by THE PUNCH on Sunday, described the act as despicable and an outright violation of the right to association and free speech of its principal, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his supporters and other stakeholders.

The statement, which was signed by the National Director, Directorate of Media & Public Affairs of Turaki Vanguard, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, indicated that the billboard was destroyed by unknown persons in Abuloma axis of the state capital.

It noted that the vandalising of its principal’s billboard, which could be considered insignificant, was capable of reverting the polity back to the dark ages.

“We note with utmost dismay the vandalisation of one of the billboards erected by the Atiku Campaign Organisation in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.”
