Eko-hotel
Things have fallen apart and the centre can no longer hold for some major clients of high brow Five star hotel, Eko Hotels.
Following the decision of the owners of the hotel to recoup the more than N1.2billion spent in building the eye popping edifice, the management of the hotel has been forced to cancel all barter deals between the hotel and most of her major clients.
The result of the decision is that intending users of the event place called the Expo centre will have to pay up front for the use of the facility.
The latest move which many observers believe may derail some planned social functions as some of those who had in the past been favoured by the barter deal are said to be scampering around, making last minute effort to secure sponsorship for their events.
Our investigations reveal that some top management staff of the hotel irked by the new policy are contemplating resignation as the latest development negates the policy of the hotel to support as much as possible, the entertainment industry.
Apart from the cancelled barter deal, the owners of the hotels also introduced tolls for vehicles parked at the hotel’s car park.
The new toll attracts a fee of N200 for every hour every vehicle is parked at the hotel premises.
“This may not be the end of the journey” a concerned staff told Showtime
“More policies that may not be attractive to customers are on the way. The owners are very serious about recouping their money” our source further revealed.
