JP Clark, Remi Raji headline P.L.A.Y

Terra Kulture, Lagos is the destination for lovers of moving words and sounds today and tomorrow (Saturday), as poets, cultural singers and dramatists are set for the second edition of P.L.A.Y holding at the multi-cultural centre.

With the author of Harvest of Laughters, Remi Raji, as the guest poet, seasoned writers and culture promoters such as Prof. JP Clark-Bekederemo, Mrs. Francesca Emmanuel, Chief Segun Olusola; the Fadesewa of Simawa, Sagamu Remo, Ogun State, Oba Gbenga Sonuga; and travelogue poet, Eddy Aderinokun, are leading guests at the literary festival sponsored by GTBank and produced by multi-talented artist, Ben Tomoloju.

Slated to perform are Awoko and Edaoto (who will enact some poems of JP Clark, Christopher Okigbo, Wole Soyinka and Odia Ofeimun); Ebika Anthony, Jumoke Verissimo, Folu Agoi, Ikwo Eke and OC Okoli. A Gboko, Benue State-based oral poet, Terfa Aando, and Nefretiti will also be in action while a performing group from the Lagos State University, Ojo, will perform Aderinokun’s Ode to an Artist Without Compare.

According to Tomoloju, the performances will accommodate youths‘ and children‘’s sections on Friday and Sunday respectively.
