Wuhan Customs crack serious watch-smuggling ring

Smuggled watches confiscated by Wuhan Customs
On Oct. 13, Wuhan Customs released information that, after more than two years of efforts, Wuhan Customs successfully cracked down on a watch-smuggling ring that moved merchandise estimated to be worth about 100 million yuan.

The suspects in the case are suspected of about 25 million yuan of tax evasion involving more than 14,000 pieces of top-grade imported watches. These watches are sold to many domestic watch firms in Wuhan, Jiaozuo, Qingdao, Yinchuan, Hefei, Zhengzhou and Suzhou.
