Saidi Balogun premieres Eti Keta

At last, the much-talked about Eti Keta, a Saidi Balogun movie, is set to hit the big screens.

According to Balogun, the movie will première in Lagos on Oct. 24, 2010.

Talking about the movie, Balogun says Eti Keta promotes African culture and heritage.

“Everybody in the movie wore Ankara,” says Balogun. “It promotes our Eyo cultural festival. The movie teaches that you don’t have to go to the extreme in anything you do. You have to know that your enemy today can be your best friend tomorrow. In fact, the movie teaches a lot of lessons.”

Shot in Ilorin, Nigeria, and the United States, the movie features actors like Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Doris Simon, Jide Kosoko and Sukanmi Omobolanle.

For the premiere, Balogun says that many personalities, including Abimbola Fashola, Dimeji Bankole, Rauf Aregbesola, Kayode and Toyin Kolade, are expected to grace the red-carpet event.
