Muyiwa Ademola ready with Iyo Aiye

Muyiwa Ademola
Muyiwa Ademola is not a rookie when it comes to movies. He knows his trade well and he has done it again with his latest flick, Iyo Aiye, a movie which celebrates women.

Talking about the movie, Ademola notes that women unconsciously lay the foundation for a solid nation by simply discharging their duties as wives, mothers and homemakers. He explains that the role of a mother in the family shapes the development of a child into a well-meaning individual, useful to the family and the society at large.

“Iyo Aiye came about as a result of a growing need to challenge gender discrimination and restore the pride and dignity of women in the society. The movie seeks to educate the general public about the gender gap in the society and the biases that keep them in place,” says Ademola.

Ademola says that the movie will premiere on Oct. 31 at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, after which it would be shown in movie theatres across the country.

He says that arrangements are being made in partnership with Sunlight detergent to take the movies to areas where there are no cinemas.

Explaining the rationale behind the partnership, the Brand Manager, Sunlight, Mrs. Nike George-Aiyudu, says that Iyo Aiye (Salt of Life), provides a striking account of the significant domestic roles played by women in home-building.

She adds that the movie shares the same brand essence with Sunlight detergent.

“Sunlight 2-in-1 detergent shares a lot in common with Iyo Aiye because Sunlight is a brand that recognises the significance of the role played by women in the family, which also is what the movie seeks to highlight,” George-Aiyudu says.

“Sunlight makes cleaning less boring and less tasking because it is specially formulated to deliver cleanness and freshness.”
