National Film and Video Censors Board(NFCVB) bans Dangerous man

Dangerous-man
“Dangerous Men”, an action packed  thriller produced by a Germany based Nigerian film director, GuGu E. Michaels has been banned by the National Film and Video Censors Board(NFCVB).
The film was billed to commence showing at the Silverbird and Genesis Deluxe Cinemas last  weekend.
Michaels who confirmed this development to HVP on telephone said, NFCVB claimed the thriller  was banned following the fact that it showed kidnapping and assassination, which  portrays the country in a negative light.
“The censors board claimed that my film showed Nigeria in a negative way and depicted what is going on in Nigerian politics and crime at the moment.’said Michaels who also directed the movie.
He lamented the decision by the board to ban the  movie, saying that he spent a lot of money to produce  the thriller which will now go down the drain.
An International Action Director, GuGu Michaels has written and directed over six feature length pictures, including “Unge’s War” which is an epic_action adventure.
Attempt to contact NFCVB boss on phone for his comment proved abortive.
