TUNEDIK students urge gov to expedite merger with UNAD

Students of the University of Education, Ikere-Ekiti have called on Governor Segun Oni to expedite action on the planned transfer of the entire students of the university to the University of Ado-Ekiti to continue their education.

The students said this in a statement distributed to journalists after protesting the delay in their education which was caused by the withdrawal of operation licence of the varsity by the National University Commission.

The students who were later addressed by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Akin Ogunlade, lamented that they had wasted about one year and six months since they gained admission into the university which is the second of such in Nigeria.
