It’s a dangerous signal —Alao-Akala

 Adebayo Alao-Akala
Oyo State Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, has joined other Nigerians to condemn the explosions that rocked the vicinity of the Eagles Square in Abuja during the celebration of the nation’s 50th independence anniversary, leaving 12 people dead and scores of others injured.

Alao-Akala said the perpetrators of the act, which he described as dastardly, appeared to be sending a desperate signal on the 2011 general election.

His reaction was contained in a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Public Communications, Mr. Dotun Oyelade.

The governor said the attack did not achieve its aim of damaging the happiness of Nigerians but it would further embolden them to vote for candidates of their choice during the forthcoming elections.
