Lady Gaga takes out restraining order against fan

Lady Gaga has obtained a restraining order against a fan who allegedly sent her a death threat.
The 'Alejandro' singer took action against Russian Anastasia Obukhova, 26, who had threatened to shoot her in the head.
In a letter obtained by the star's management, the New York-based student wrote: "You come to my dreams. I want to die and I want to die together with you."
The letter continues with Obukhova referencing Mark Chapman, who murdered Beatles legend John Lennon in 1980 by shooting him four times outside his New York apartment.
She wrote: "I am not Mark Chapman. It is not only you who will die. I will shoot a bullet through my head too."
Under the terms of the restraining order, Obukhova is banned from going within 500 metres of Lady Gaga but the eccentric singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - has stepped up her security in the wake of the alleged death threat.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Security is always tight around her but even more so now she's on tour. Her team won't take any chances."

Lady Gaga beats Justin Bieber to YouTube record

Lady Gaga is the most popular living person on Facebook and Twitter
Lady Gaga has set a new record for YouTube.
The Bad Romance star has racked up more than one billion overall views of her material on the video sharing website.
According to internet research company famecount.com her total currently stands at 1,002,734,757.
Tweeting to her nearly seven million followers on Twitter she said: "We reached one billion views on YouTube little monsters!
"If we stick together we can do anything.
"I dub u kings and queens of YouTube!"
That figure doesn't represent views of a single video.
Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber currently holds that record with 367,025,875 views of his hit single Baby featuring Ludacris.
The 16-year-old is a very close second place behind Gaga in terms of overall viewings with 967 million views of his content on YouTube.
It's not the first time Lady Gaga has set a new record online.
Back in August she overtook Britney Spears to become the most followed person on Twitter.
She recently became the first living star to break the 20 million Facebook fans barrier and remains the most popular living star on both sites.

Lady Gaga getting into the swing of Halloween as she looks like a mad scientist on London's Southbank

With an incredible pair of sunglasses that would give Elton John a run for his money, the wacky singer complete with cobweb like hair looked like she had stepped off the set of Edward Scissorhands today.
Filming on London's Southbank, you can guarantee the US pop sensation won't come up with a half baked idea but will follow it through to the end, even if it makes no sense to rest of us.
Wearing two foot heels, fishnet tights and a gothic dress with zips, laces and black crosses attached, Gaga achieved her goal of being the person who stood out the from the crowd the most. Although, this could have been probably been achieved with just one of the above.

'Dull' Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is known as 'Lady DullDull' among her tour crew.
The 'Alejandro' singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - is well-known for her outlandish stage outfits but is said to prefer a more comfortable look when she is off-duty, opting for baseball caps and sweat pants.
A tour insider explained to National Enquirer magazine: "She gets all comfy in sweats and a baseball, then becomes the easygoing gal we jokingly call 'our den mom'. Another nickname we have for her is 'Lady DullDull', because she looks just like any one of us.
"And Stefani's sweet as a Jewish mom, always mediating and offering advice on the crew's dating problems, family issues, or whatever. She not only listens to everyone's problems, she gives really great advice on how to fix them."
In the past, the kooky star has revealed she thinks it's important to maintain her public persona at all times.
She said: "If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were screaming outside of the hospital, waiting for me to come out, I'd come out as Gaga. I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music."

Lady Gaga buys back unreleased music from auction

Fans eager to purchase unreleased Lady Gaga songs due to be auctioned online this month will be disappointed because singer bought them back.
For an undisclosed amount Lady Gaga purchased six CDs and a DVD that her first manager, Bob Leone, was selling in the auction of nearly 860 celebrity items.
Some of the items were autographed and featured unreleased songs dating back to a 2002 demo recording when Lady Gaga was the shy teenager Stefani Germanotta. Minimum bids for each were $1,000.
"She wanted to purchase them. We sent her an offer on behalf of Bob Leone. She countered and we made a deal," said Peter Siegel, co-founder of GOTTA HAVE IT! Collectibles, Inc., which is running the auction.
He added that Leone had never attempted to copy them and make them public.
Although there had been bidding interest in the Lady Gaga songs that were pulled, Siegel said he did not expect them to be one of the top sellers in the auction.
The Lady Gaga songs were not the only items that were pulled from the auction at www.gottahaverockandroll.com from October 6-15. Last week the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized a set of John Lennon's fingerprints.
The FBI said the fingerprinted application card for Lennon's permanent U.S. residence, consigned to the auction house by a promoter to be sold for at least $100,000, appeared to be a missing government document.

Lady Gaga "more powerful" than Nancy Pelosi: Forbes

LOS ANGELES  - The Forbes list of the world's most powerful women includes Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Beyonce Knowles and Ellen DeGeneres, all of whom apparently wield more power than the woman who is second in line for U.S. president.
The annual list, released late Wednesday, places Winfrey third. The talk-show queen is worth $2.7 billion and earned $315 million in the past year, but beyond wealth Forbes takes into account executive position, creative influence and entrepreneurship.
No. 1 on the list is First Lady Michelle Obama. Forbes didn't calculate her and her husband's personal wealth or money earned in the last year, choosing instead to list in that category the country's national budget, which is $3.5 trillion.

Shy Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga used to be "painfully shy"

According to the 'Alejandro' hitmaker's former manager Bob Leone, the eccentric star used to have trouble going on stage when she was a teenager and needed her mother for support.
He said: "She was painfully shy - very different from who she is now.
"She came to the open mic nights with her mother twice before she built up the courage to go onstage."
Bob also claims Gaga - real name Stefani Germanotta - transformed before him while he managed her for six months in 2006.
He said: "She was prodigy-like. She was clearly a very good songwriter and keyboard player.
"It was a very important six months because going into it, she was Stefani, and she was still writing pop music. By the end of that six month period, she was officially Lady Gaga."
She also developed her self-confidence when she became Gaga, eventually wowing crowds with her performances and always revealing her passion to "dominate" the music world.
He told People.com: "She blew everyone away. Nobody talked about anything after that show but Lady Gaga. She bantered with the audience and was very funny.
"Whenever someone asked her, 'What is your goal?' she would always give the same two-word answer, 'World domination.'

Lady Gaga wants British wedding

Lady Gaga wants to get married in a British castle.
The 'Bad Romance' hitmaker has reportedly told members of her stage crew that she wants to tie the knot with rumoured boyfriend Luc Carl after performing her UK shows in December.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Lady Gaga has told everyone she plans to get married. She has said she wants a fairytale wedding in a castle.
"We finish the European leg in London just before Christmas and the timing is perfect for the wedding."
According to the insider, the eccentric singer has a string of wishes for her big day, including arriving in a horse-drawn carriage, wearing wedding rings similar to Elvis Presley's horseshoe ring and to have burlesque star Dita Von Teese spring from a cake and perform one of her raunchy routines.
It was recently claimed the 'Poker Face' singer - who first dated Luc in 2005 before rekindling their romance recently - plans to buy a British castle, fuelling speculation she wants to host her wedding in her own house.
A source said recently: "No expense will be spared in her quest to make this dream come true.
"It's her childhood dream and she's particularly interested in castles in the north of England or Scotland."

Don't ever work with children or Lady Gaga... Yoko Ono upstaged by singer's barefaced cheek

Singer Lady Gaga (L) and singer/artist Yoko Ono perform at She famously ruffled feather when she became the wife of one of rock's most famous sons.
But Yoko Ono, 77, is no match for the towering pop colossus Lady Gaga, 24, who overshadowed John Lennon's widow as they took to the stage in Los Angeles last night.
The singer wore a typically cheeky outfit - a bejewelled catsuit - which deliberately exposed her bottom.

And Gaga made no concession to the petite Japanese musician and artist as she teetered around the stage in a pair of super-high platform boots.
Wearing a crystal studded black bodysuit and spiked headband, it was, one might say a more sober look than usual for the outrageous singer whose stage shows often require her to be soaked in fake blood.
Gaga joined with the Plastic Ono Band, formerly a loose supergroup of musicians that Lennon assembled 40 years ago.
Lennon's widow was excited to be performing again, she said: 'I have never done a show in L.A., so I am very happy to be finally doing it.'

The occasion came ahead of a series of celebrations for the music legend who would have turned 70 this week!
Last night's rejuvenated version of the Plastic Ono Band also included Yoko and John’s son Sean Lennon as well as Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth.
The Alejandro singer and Ono performed in front of a sold-out audience, and Ono looked slightly in awe of the eccentric star.
Gaga tweeted: 'WE ARE PLASTIC ONO. I got to sit in as a guest musician tonight, what a legendary band + mother, Yoko.'
Earlier in the day, the 24-year-old boasted about her musical success, as she tweeted: 'Today THE FAME spends its 100th consecutive week on Billboard. I wrote it myself + sang it live everynight. Thanku for believing lilmonsters.'
