If age and years of practice were the only criteria for measuring success, Mo‘Cheddah‘s name would be nowhere to be found on the stars-saturated nomination list of the 2010 edition of the Soundcity Music Video Awards.
But because the awards is primarily a game of talent, creativity and production know-how, the 20-year-old artiste, whose original name is Modupe Oyeyemi, is among the hopeful as a nominee in the Discovery of the Year category.
With her song, If You Want me, she is nominated alongside other fresh entrants such as South Africa‘s Liquid Deep (Fairy Tale); Jaywon (Gbon Gbon Gbon); Mike Anyasodo (Fine Fine Lady and Jesse Jagg (Pump it Up).
