Glo Naija Sings: Moses leaves

If anybody had told Moses Obi-Adigwe that he was going to be booted out of the ongoing Glo Naija Sings competition, he might not have believed it.

However, the young guy, with one of the sweetest vocal chords in the competition, was evicted from the show last week.

His eviction was shocking to many viewers but, the anchor man, Olisa Adibua, had announced that Moses had the least number of votes so he had to bow out.

Before then, Adibua had made it a point of duty to remind the TV audience that they should vote so that their favourite contestants would be kept in the competition.

Moses, with a rich, soothing feminine voice, had two Sundays ago, wowed the show’s audience with his beautiful rendition of Asa’s Eye Adaba. For that, he got accolades from the audience and the resident judge, Tosin Martins.

That sterling performance was however not enough to keep him in the house as the voting public failed to reckon with his stage presence and charm. Many would have argued before last Sunday’s eviction that the ultimate prize was within Moses’ grab.

Within a minute of Adibua’s announcement of his exit, Moses had a swift transition from a strong contestant to an applauding audience, watching his former colleagues sing.

The 19-year-old student said he would go back to school to face his studies, but he is considering releasing a single to show Nigerians the stuff he is made of.

The other contestants in the show are gathering momentum, hoping they come out tops at the grand finale.
