When the promoters of Silverbird Group and their guests converge on the new Expo Suite of the Eko Hotel, Lagos, tomorrow for the entertainment conglomerate’s 30th anniversary ball, champagnes, the expensive and vintage, would pop in celebration.
Glasses, the snifter and highball, would clink in merriment. People, from far and wide, politics and entertainment, would hail and cheer Ben Bruce for his foresight and steadfastness to a cause he believes in - entertainment.
However, the highlight of the show would be America‘s number one corporate and private event party band, Party On The Moon which performed at President Barrack Obama’s inauguration in 2008. Comprising diverse artistic talents, colourful choreography, non-stop, high energy entertainment, the band delivers bespoke entertainment to its clientele all over the world.
The band would however meet its match in Nigeria‘s Sharp Band and a line up of performers comprising King Sunny Ade, D’banj, Tuface, Ras Kimono and MI among others. The chairman of the organising committee, Skid Ikemefuna, said the anniversary ball would be an epochal one as hit songs in the last 30 years, both local and foreign, would be chronicled.
