David Beckham plans to launch his own underwear range

Football ace David Beckham is said to be planning to launch a range of underwear.

David Beckham  has already proven he can model underwear after fronting briefs for Emporio Armani and now the football star plans to launch a range of his own.

And the heartthrob wants his designer wife Victoria Beckham to help.

A source explained: "David is 35 and knows he won't be playing soccer forever. But he's an icon for men all over the world and he wears pants like no one can - so it makes sense for him to launch his own."

David, who currently plays for Los Angeles Galaxy, is backed by his manager Simon Fuller and fashion designer Stella McCartney's husband Alasdhair Willis.

His wife Victoria, who launched her first collection in 2008, is also wanted for her involvement in the range.

"Alasdhair and Simon are focused on turning David into a major fashion presence. Victoria is also very excited. She obviously thinks David is the sexiest man in the world and perfect to front the range," the source added.
