The managing partner of Lateral Links Ltd, Yetunde Allen‘s staying power in the limelight cannot be ascribed to her almost non -existing socialising manners. Rather she possesses a rare combination of brilliance and charisma that overtly leaves an impression wherever she goes.
An alumnus of the prestigious all girls school, Queens College, Allen graduated, with a degree in Economics, from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
It was only after this she delved into the fashion industry and later banking. Subsequently her interests veered into soft furnishing, then interiors and assembly of office furniture which led to the birth of Design Centre. Afterwards she set up Lateral Links.
Her varied interests evidently accounts for her success. Allen is one lady who has done very well for herself and has left a mark in corporate Nigeria. Dark -skinned and pretty, she leaves no one in doubt of her passion for micro, small and medium scale enterprise.
In between all her business engagements, she still finds time to socialise and make strong statements with her eye-catching wear.
She veered off the social scene over a year ago following the birth of her child. The latest addition came almost five years after she had her first visit to the delivery room. Savouring the joys of motherhood, she took time off the social scene to nurture her kids, Temi and Joshua as well as consolidate on the successful run of her business concern.
Notwithstanding her absence from the social scene, she has and is still doing well for herself especially in the area of entrepreneurship where she exhibits an avowed passion.
Judging by her appearance at occasions in very recent times, she seems to be plotting her way back to the chic scene though in a subtle manner devoid of attracting undue attention to herself.
