Cleric urges Nigerians to focus on God

The Moderator of the Goodnews Baptist Association in Lagos State, Rev. Theophilius OlaOlorun, has called on Nigerians to depend on God as the ultimate solution to their challenges.

He said despite the harsh global economic meltdown, Nigerians should focus on God to enable them to overcome serious challenges, especially financial problems.

The cleric said in a statement on Monday in Lagos that with absolute faith in God and deliberate intention to follow his will, there will be an end to serious challenges bedevilling the nation.

He called on Nigerians to stop believing in their human efforts alone but focus on God as the ultimate solution.

OlaOlorun, who was speaking on the forthcoming fourth Quarter Fellowship of the association scheduled for November 5 and 6, 2010 at the Estate Baptist Church, Abesan, Lagos State, said that with absolute faith in God and constant devotion, challenges would disappear.

The fellowship which is the last for the year, will appraise the mission focus of the association and also map out strategies for year 2011.
