The 22-year-old Yemeni coed arrested for mailing the two Al Qaeda cargo bombs was released Sunday after officials determined she was a victim of identity theft.

Hanane al-Samawi, a computer science major at Sanaa University, was arrested Saturday along with her 45-year-old mother.
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh had said sources in the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates indicated she had mailed the two lethal packages discovered lurking in air cargo bays on Friday. Her cellphone number was reportedly on the mailing slip for the Chicago-bound bombs.
But Al-Samawi's lawyer said she was innocent and questioned whether a truly clever bomber would have provided their real phone number.
